The main deity, Baglamukhi, is considered one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom goddess) and the idol of the goddess is made of solid rock and presented as having a bronzed skin tone. As per legends associated with this temple, it is said that goddess Baglamukhi devi emerged during the war between the gods and anti-gods from Turmeric water. You can see the big temple premises, but the Garbh Griha of Goddess Pitambari is very small, where only 4-5 persons can enter and stand at one time. On the left side of the idol, there are idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha, while A big statue of Lord Hanuman is present there. Mahakal is known as the Bhairav of Goddess Sati. It is said that this temple was built by Ravan in the Ramayan era, and she is worshipped as the Kuldevi of Raavan.
